State-of-the-art TechnologyPink Hibiscus uses next generation digital technology, which is superior in detecting breast cancers. This technology allows a more comfortable procedure and is also more accurate in detecting cancers in women with more dense breasts, which tend to be in younger women.
We are equipped to perform the following procedures: Mammograms Mammograms are performed using Hologic’s Digital Selenia Dimensions mammography machine (approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and are supplemented by the use of Computer-Aided Detection (CAD); in fact, we are the first to utilise this application in Trinidad & Tobago. Ultrasound A High quality dedicated ultrasound will also be utilised. An Ultrasound is a proven breast-imaging tool; several studies have demonstrated that a breast ultrasound is effective in finding cancers missed by mammography. Vacuum Breast Biopsy Pink Hibiscus is the first to introduce Vacuum Excision Technology (a minimally invasive procedure), which improves precision and can avoid surgeries in many cases.
