About Pink Hibiscus
One in eight women over 40 will develop breast cancer. Pink Hibiscus Breast Health Specialists is the first comprehensive screening and diagnostic Breast Health Centre in the Caribbean providing care for all aspects of your breast concerns in a one-stop, best-in-class specialist breast centre.
Why you should choose Pink Hibiscus?
Our tailored approach to your breast health affords us the unique opportunity to provide a higher level of care for you, in an environment where you can feel right at home. If you have a breast concern or are due for your routine preventative annual screening test, please do not hesitate to give us a call. We are here for you.
Pink Hibiscus uses next generation digital technology, which is superior in detecting breast cancers. This technology allows a more comfortable procedure and is also more accurate in detecting cancers in women with more dense breasts, which tend to be in younger women.
We are equipped to perform the following procedures:
Mammograms are performed using Hologic’s Digital Selenia Dimensions mammography machine (approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and are supplemented by the use of Computer-Aided Detection (CAD); in fact, we are the first to utilise this application in Trinidad & Tobago.
A High quality dedicated ultrasound will also be utilised. An Ultrasound is a proven breast-imaging tool; several studies have demonstrated that a breast ultrasound is effective in finding cancers missed by mammography.
Vacuum Breast Biopsy
Pink Hibiscus is the first to introduce Vacuum Excision Technology (a minimally invasive procedure), which improves precision and can avoid surgeries in many cases.
